Training Session Course Descriptions:

Puppy
Dogs below six months of age. Fun class in which the puppies will have the opportunity to socialize with other puppies and are introduced to obedience training. Puppy problems are addressed.
Beginner Novice
Dogs six months and older. Basic obedience to include heeling, automatic sits, downs, recalls, etc. will be taught.
Intermediate
This class refines what was taught in Beginners and more obedience exercises are introduced. Handlers are introduced to exercises for the AKC Beginner Novice title. Pre-requisite is completion of Beginner Novice class.
Advance Novice
Emphasis is on training the exercises for the AKC Companion Dog title. Pre-requisite is completion of Intermediate class.
AKC Ring Prep
For the novice handler to improve their skills and prepare for AKC obedience competition. Will be working in the ring to learn ring procedures/protocols. Focus will be AKC Novice exercises but may include Open and Utility exercises. Prerequisites include: completion of Advanced Novice class, able to do Heel Free (light line ok), controlled recall (no long lines). Prong collars are not allowed, only AKC approved collars.
Open
Emphasis is on training the exercises for the AKC Open title. Pre-requisite is completion of the Advance Novice class.
Novice Rally
Interactive, fun style of traditional obedience. Handler and dog perform various exercises on a course guided by signs. Pre-requisite for Novice Rally is completion of Intermediate class.
Advance Excellent Rally
Pre-requisite is successful completion of Novice Rally.
